What will I learn with a Pastoral Ministry Degree?
Jesus Christ has chosen to continue His work on Earth through the local church. The Bachelor of Arts in Pastoral Ministry degree at Barclay College is designed for the person answering the Good Shepherd’s call to church ministry and administration [John 10]. Those completing the program obtain the primary qualifications for local and global service as 21st-century ministry frontrunners and equippers in the Ascension gifts of Jesus Christ [Ephesians 4:11], commonly referred to as “the Five-fold ministry of the Church.

Understand their personal call into ministry and explain the biblical purpose of the local church and the role and philosophy of pastoral ministry.

Engage in vision-casting, mission articulation, and strategic implementation within their local ministry context.

Accurately interpret Scripture, using sound methodology and a familiarity with New Testament Greek.

Craft and deliver sermons and officiate ceremonies, which help listeners apply biblical principles to the problems and possibilities they face in the twenty-first century.
