Theatre Arts

Theatre performance has become a huge part of the life at Barclay College. Since the Ross-Ellis Center for Arts and Music was completed in 2018, musical performances have taken center stage, involving many students, faculty and community members.

Randi Shetley, Director of Fine Arts, joined Barclay in 2018. She had previously directed in the spring of 2018 the college’s highly successful production of “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat,” bringing years of experience in the theatrical world to the small college in Haviland, Kansas. In the spring of 2019, she directed “Beauty and the Beast” and in the spring 2020 directed “Mary Poppins”. After facing months of performance delays due to the pandemic, the curtains finally opened in fall of 2020.
