Dr. Le Shana will present a paper based on his doctoral research and a recent presentation in North Carolina YM, followed by a brief Q/A time and a reception.
Serving as the VP of Academics Services and Director of the School of Graduate Studies at BC since 2012, Dr. Le Shana is an historian who is optimistic about the future of the Friends Church. He loves the Church and its leaders, serving previously as a Friends pastor for 30 years. He received a BA from George Fox University and earned four graduate degrees: a MA in Theology and Marriage and Family Counseling from Fuller Theological Seminary; a MDiv from Azusa Pacific University; and a MA and PhD in History from the University of California, Riverside.
Sponsored by the Academic Services of Barclay College, the BC Colloquium is offered once each in the Fall and the Spring semesters to promote research and scholarship among the faculty along with the sharing of academic insights to enhance the learning environment for the entire Barclay College community.
