In July 2019, Kim Hansen was appointed as the Dean of the Barclay College School of Nursing, tasked with leading the college through development of the nursing program. She brings over 25 years of experience in healthcare and is deeply rooted in her Christian faith. Her career began in Health Services Management both in the United States Air Force and civilian workforce.
Kim holds a Master of Science in Nursing (2014) from Fort Hays State University (Hays, Kansas), a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (2010) from Tabor College (Wichita, Kansas), and an Associate Degree in Nursing (2008) from Pratt Community College (Pratt, Kansas). She is a Certified Nurse Educator through the National League for Nursing and has also earned a post-master’s Executive Certificate in Nursing Educational Leadership from Liberty University.
As a practicing registered nurse, Kim works in acute care and also has experience in long-term care. As a nurse educator, her experience includes teaching in a Licensed Practical Nursing program and in two Associate Degree in Nursing programs, delivering instruction in classroom, skills laboratory, and simulation settings, both in-person and online. Her leadership roles have included Online Education Coordinator, Skills Laboratory Coordinator, Director of Nursing, and Dean, School of Nursing.

Sherry Ward joined the Barclay College faculty in the fall of 2021. She maintains a strong Christian faith and her outstanding professional healthcare experience spans more than 40 years. Her career began as a nurse aide and ward clerk, followed by several years as an EMT and EMT instructor.
Sherry earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (1986) from Northwestern Oklahoma State University (Alva, OK) and a Master of Science in Nursing (2000) from Wichita State University (Wichita, KS). She holds the designation of Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) and Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) in Acute Care, with a specialization in Neurology.
With 24 years of experience in nursing education as both an instructor and program director, Sherry has also practiced in a variety of healthcare settings, including medical-surgical, emergency room, chemical dependency, college health, and home health.
