BSN Admissions

The first step in the admissions process for all students is to submit a Barclay College General Admission Application.
General Admission

Students begin the admissions process by applying to Barclay College. Once accepted, they are classified as pre-nursing majors. To advance, pre-nursing students must complete the required prerequisite and Biblical courses and meet the BSN Admission Requirements outlined below.

Note: Students may be granted conditional admission for their first semester in the nursing program to complete any remaining nursing prerequisite or Biblical courses, excluding science courses. All science prerequisite courses must have been taken within the past five years and must be completed prior to enrollment in the nursing program. 

BSN Admission Requirements: 

1. Submit a BSN Program Application.

2. Submit official transcript(s) from an accredited United States college or university, verifying a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 for required nursing prerequisite coursework. Credits from non-accredited institutions will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

 3. Submit documentation of an active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certificate issued in the United States.

4. Complete the ATI-TEAS with a minimum Total Score falling within the Proficient Range (58.7% – 77.3%) or higher.

          a. Each student will be allowed two attempts to successfully meet the TEAS                       requirement for the same nursing program application.

         b. Only results from the current TEAS assessment will be accepted.

 

 

Transfer

Students begin the transfer process by applying to Barclay College. Upon acceptance, their academic records and prerequisite coursework will be evaluated. To advance, transfer students must complete any remaining required prerequisite and Biblical courses and meet the Transfer Admission Requirements outlined below.

Note: Students may be granted conditional admission for their first semester in the nursing program to complete any remaining nursing prerequisite or Biblical courses, excluding science courses. All science prerequisite courses must have been taken within the past five years and must be completed prior to enrollment in the nursing program. 

Transfer Admission Requirements:

1. Submit a BSN Program Application.

2. Submit official transcript(s) from an accredited United States college or university, verigying a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 for required prerequisite and nursing coursework. Credits from non-accredited institutions will be considered on a case-by-case basis. 

3. Submit course syllabi for all successfully completed nursing courses for transfer evaluation.

4. Submit documentation of an active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certificate issued in the United States.

5. Complete the ATI-TEAS with a minimum Total Score falling within the Proficient Range (58.7% – 77.3%) or higher.

          a. Each student will be allowed two attempts to successfully meet the TEAS                       requirement for the same nursing program application.

         b. Only results from the current TEAS assessment will be accepted.

April 1 is the priority deadline for submitting a BSN application; however, applications will be accepted until the program is full.

Barclay College general admission application and acceptance are required prior to submitting a BSN application.

Review the General Education and Prerequisite Courses and Prepare for the ATI TEAS Exam

Purchase the ATI TEAS study materials, then start reviewing the content and completing practice tests to prepare.

Submit a BSN Application

Documents/information required for upload within the BSN Application:

  • Two professional character references, including their names, email addresses, and phone numbers
  • Documentation of an active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certificate issued by any state located within the United States
  • Copy of your ATI TEAS Individual Performance Profile (score sheet)
  • Copy of all unofficial transcripts

Transfer students only:

  • Previous course syllabi
