Barclay College received a grant of $1.25 million from Lilly Endowment, Inc. to help establish a Friends Preaching Initiative at Barclay College. The effort is being funded through Lilly Endowment’s Compelling Preaching Initiative to foster and support preaching that inspires, encourages, and guides people to come to know God’s love and live out their Christian faith more fully.

This grant money will be used to focus on developing an innovative training environment for aspiring preachers at Barclay as well as active English and Spanish-speaking preachers within the Friends denomination. The resources will reflect on the rich and unique heritage of the preaching ministry among evangelical Friends.
