Accreditation

As part of the school's national accreditation requirements, Barclay College recently submitted progress reports to the Association for Biblical Higher Education (ABHE), both for the undergraduate and the graduate programs. The College continues to be on track moving toward Higher Learning Commission – North Central region accreditation (HLC), Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) accreditation, and the Kansas State Department of Education (KSDE) for state teacher licensure in elementary education.

For HLC regional accreditation, the College recently submitted a “Letter of Intent to Complete Eligibility Filing” (on October 31, 2012), and the College plans to complete the “Eligibility Filing: Institutional Submission” by December 31. A panel will then review the filing, with the possibility of allowing the College to submit a “Letter of Intent to Pursue Candidacy” by the summer of 2013. A “Candidacy Visit” would be in the spring or winter of 2014.
An ACSI accreditation team is scheduled to visit Barclay College on February 18-19, 2013. For KSDE, the College submitted our Letter of Intent and received official confirmation. The College has submitted potential visitation dates for March, September, or October, 2013.
