Online Preaching Certificate<\/span><\/h5>\n

The Preaching Certificate will connect students to a deeper understanding of Christian theology as expressed through programmed evangelical Friends’ faith and practice. Participants will reflect on how God most effectively uses the Friends Church to uniquely communicate the Gospel of Jesus Christ.<\/span><\/p>\n

Preaching Cohorts _<\/h2>\n

Preachers can participate in either an English-speaking or Spanish-speaking cohort.<\/strong><\/h6>\n

Cohort members will engage in peer listening, evaluation, and will receive current learning opportunities from the Friends Preaching Initiative. The Friends Preaching Initiative will provide educational support to cohort members in the form of research and preaching resources developed through the Friends Vocal Ministry Research Project as well as additional outside material to equip cohort members to be effective compelling preachers.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Participation in a Friends Preaching Initiative Preaching Cohort is free. Each cohort will receive a small stipend to help with cohort meals and travel costs.<\/span><\/p>\n

Yearly and Regional Meetings, consider sponsoring a FPI Regional event in your area. We believe so strongly that these regional events can build integral relationships and provide powerful resources and training that we want to help remove some of the financial barriers that might prevent them from happening. The Friends Preaching Initiative at Barclay College will help sponsor a National Friends Preaching Gathering at the culmination of the multi-year effort to engage aspiring and active Friends Preachers.<\/strong><\/h6>\n

\u00a0The National Friends Preaching Gathering will be both a celebration of lessons learned and friendships forged, as well as a springboard to move the Friends Preaching Initiative into a new phase of self-sufficiency as FPI enters the fifth and final year of the grant.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This Gathering will share preaching innovations for active preachers and call forth a new generation of aspiring preachers to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ in a relevant and effective manner. Our hope is that this Gathering can be an experience for Friends Preaching Initiative alumni and other English and Spanish-speaking Friends Preachers as we gather to learn from each other, share stories, and plan for the next phases of our ministry.<\/span><\/p>\n
