Head Coach: Kevin Lee

Kevin Lee is in his fourth season as the head coach for the Barclay College Bears. Under his leadership the Bears were ranked as high as #7 in the NCCAA Division II polls this last season, they were the 2013 MCCC Co-Champions, and finished the season as the Southwest Region runner-up after entering the tournament as the #1 seed. Coach Lee is USSF certified and also has coaching experience with high school soccer, high school track and field, and junior high basketball. He holds a B.S. in both Bible and Business Administration from Barclay College where he played soccer for the Barclay College Bears from 1990-94. He also holds a M.A. from Azusa Pacific University. Since his Barclay College days he has served ten years as a youth minister in Hutchinson, and Hugoton, KS, a substitute teacher in three school districts, worked in personal and corporate banking, and now in education. On his coaching philosophy, Lee believes the ability to play inter-collegiate soccer is a privilege, and it is truly one of God’s many gifts. Knowing that the “Beautiful Game” is a gift to be enjoyed and shared, he ensures that his teams will both model good sportsmanship and come together as a team to create and inspire by giving their best. He has been married to Jennifer for 19 years this June. They have three children (Nathan, Hannah, and Jessa).

Assistant Coach: Steve Davis

Steve Davis holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Friends University and is NSCAA and USSF certified. He has trained with over 20 professional and college coaches. Besides coaching at Barclay College, Davis is the governing coach for Wichita Lightning Soccer Organization. Coach Davis goes above and beyond to make sure all of his players and teams are successful. His dedication, commitment, and character as a coach earned him the Greater Wichita Coach of the Year, and just recently Davis was named the 2012 Competitive Coach of the year for the state of Kansas. He and his wife, Shannon, have five children and two grandchildren.
