Joplin, MO – With the MCCC Tournament three weeks away, the Bears traveled to Ozark Christian College for an attempt to improve their seeding. However, their second meeting with the Ambassadors ended in the same fashion as their first, with a straight set loss.

“Defensively we were slow on our feet. Made too many unforced errors at the net and you just can’t do that against a good team like Ozark,” said Head Coach Shari Bryan.

Ozark Christian came out in the first set like a top caliber team that they are and won the set 25-13. In the second set, behind superb serving, the Bears went stride for stride with the Ambassadors but fell just short, losing the set 19-25. The third set was similar to the first with the Ambassadors winning 25-14 to end the match.

The Bears (3-10, 1-5) play at NAIA Central Christian College (McPherson, KS) at 7:00 PM CST before they take a week off and then play at Manhattan Christian College (Manhattan, KS) on October 9th.
