This year’s school retreat was a little different than retreats in the past. Instead of the usual off campus experience, it was held on campus this year. The Student body Council worked hard to put together this event. The retreat started on a Friday night with the no talent show. The show was a great success. From singing, to preaching and silly skits, everything came together to make it a great night for college students and off campus visitors as well.
The Saturday beach theme kicked off with an afternoon at the Greensburg pool. A night carnival gave students an opportunity to meet new friends and get reacquainted with old ones. It was a very happy time.
All of this play was good, but a vital part of this retreat was what happened at chapel. Our chapel speaker this year was Jim Le Shana, V.P. for Academics. The message spoken and the time the students spent in worship were not in vain. The chapels challenged and encouraged the students. "We believe this was a great start to the school year," said STUCO president Titus Mease. The Student Council wants to thank everybody who made this retreat happen the way it did. They are excited to see God's leading.
