Procedures

There are three options to submit an application. You may apply using an online application or download and print the necessary forms. If you would like to apply via standard mail, we would be happy to supply you with an "Application for Admission" packet. Regardless of which option you choose, these are the necessary items:

  1. The application form itself, which requests some biographical data and some essay answers. The essay questions give the admissions staff insight into the prospective student's writing skills, Christian experience, and academic and ministry goals.
  2. Reference forms. These give individuals who know the prospective student the opportunity to reflect on the student’s individual strengths and academic ability. These should be forwarded to individuals who can comment on both character and the student’s ability to do college-level work.
  3. A transcript or portfolio of high school study is requested. High schools forward this document to Barclay College at the prospective student’s request. A high school diploma or equivalent is required for admission.
  4. ACT test scores are requested. Applicants to Barclay College are required to take either the ACT or SAT test, with the ACT preferred. Prospective students are encouraged to take the test in the spring of their junior year in high school, and again if desired in the fall of the senior year. Only the highest test score achieved will be considered in the admissions and scholarship process.
  5. An application fee must be submitted with the application form.

The Application for Admission also serves as the application form for institutional financial aid, so prospective students need only fill out one form.

To begin the application process, return to Admissions Home and click on one of the three application options.

If you have any questions about the application procedure, please call 1-800-862-0226 or e-mail the Admissions department. Barclay College operates on a rolling admissions basis. As soon as all of your materials are received, a decision will be made on your admission and you will be notified.
