Worden Memorial Library Links Page
Welcome to Worden Memorial Library located on the campus of Barclay College in Haviland, Kansas. The library is
one of the most important places on (and off) campus students are exposed to because it is where students will
obtain the information they need to be successful, scholarly, and informed.
Traditional On-campus students and Home College students may utilize the services Worden Memorial Library has to offer. Library services are also open to those in the Haviland or Kiowa County area. Worden Memorial Library offers all of the traditional library services with approximately 50,000 volumes and 75 periodical subscriptions.
Worden Memorial Library also provides many Internet services to students. Students can gain access to the Kansas Library Catalog, which contains the holdings of most of the libraries in Kansas. Students may obtain these materials through Interlibrary Loan. Contact our Interlibrary Loan Coordinator, Emily Harkness, and she will order the needed materials. Through the generosity of the Kansas State Library, the State's Regional Library Systems and the State's Regent's University Libraries, all Barclay students have access to the FirstSearch online databases and the InfoTrac full-text online databases. In addition, students may access EBSCOHost. EBSCOHost provides the library patron with nine full-text periodical databases.
Put together, these databases provide Barclay College students with access to over one million full-text titles or book records they may obtain while sitting at their computer at home. A full service Interlibrary Loan program is available to all library patrons.
Full print and CD-ROM periodical indexes, encyclopedias and other reference works as well as Bible software is also available to library patrons. Other individualized CD-ROM products that support specific courses are also available. Patrons must use these resources in the library.
Worden Memorial Library offers bibliographic instruction and research assistance to all patrons. An ALA accredited librarian manages Barclay College Library services.

The Library is closed for chapel, home games and all campus-wide events unless classes are in session.
Barclay students also benefit from a computer lab that is open to all students! The lab features a range of productivity tools including Internet, word-processing, database, spreadsheet, and Bible software.
